A group of 9 universities and companies from across Europe is training a cohort of 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs)  in the development of drug-free antibacterial materials for medical applications, such as wound care, implants and bio film prevention.  The ESRs’ PhD projects are developing, synthesising and testing new biopolymers, bioceramics and bioactive glasses that can act as active agents to prevent or eradicate bacterial infections.
